MEP Designer – Dubai

About the role

The MEP Designer will join LAADS CONTRACTING LLC’s on‑site team in Dubai, delivering detailed mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs for interior fit‑out projects. This full‑time position focuses on producing accurate technical drawings, collaborating with engineers and ensuring compliance with UAE building codes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and update technical drawings for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems using CAD software.
• Collaborate with project engineers and architects to develop coordinated MEP designs that meet client specifications.
• Conduct research and development activities to improve design processes and incorporate best‑practice solutions.
• Verify that all designs adhere to local building regulations and company quality standards.
• Support project teams on‑site by providing technical guidance and resolving design‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in MEP design within the UAE construction or interior fit‑out sector.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and MEP system standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
