MEP Engineer – Mechanical Systems Design & Coordination

About the role

Nova International General Contracting is seeking a qualified MEP Engineer to join its UAE‑based team. The role focuses on reviewing designs, preparing technical submissions and coordinating mechanical systems to ensure they meet project specifications and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and BOQs for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review shop drawings and material submittals for HVAC, plumbing and fire‑fighting systems.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with architectural, structural and electrical disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Respond to RFIs and liaise with consultants for approvals and technical clarifications.
• Support procurement by reviewing supplier quotations and technical data sheets.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and authority requirements.
• Assist site teams with technical guidance and updated documentation.
• Track submissions, approvals and maintain organized project records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with a general contracting company in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and fire‑fighting systems.
• Experience preparing shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple submissions and meet project deadlines.
