MEP Engineer – Spa & Wellness (Luxury Projects)

About the role

As an MEP Engineer – Spa & Wellness you will coordinate and oversee the mechanical and electrical systems that support specialist spa and wellness facilities across all project phases, focusing on high‑end, luxury and ultra‑luxury hospitality developments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical requirements for specialist Spa & Wellness facilities.
• Review and coordinate MEP requirements for saunas, steam rooms, hammams, experience showers, salt rooms and other wellness environments.
• Review MEP shop drawings, technical submittals, equipment schedules and installation details.
• Coordinate HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, electrical power, lighting and control systems associated with specialist wellness facilities.
• Manage mechanical and electrical interfaces between specialist suppliers, consultants, contractors and project teams.
• Monitor installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Support inspections, testing, integrated commissioning, snagging and handover activities.
• Identify technical discrepancies, constructability challenges and coordination issues while supporting effective resolutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in MEP engineering, technical coordination or specialist equipment installations.
• At least 5 years dedicated to Spa & Wellness projects within luxury hospitality developments.
• Proven experience coordinating MEP systems for hammams, saunas, steam rooms, thermal suites, experience showers and specialist wellness facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in installation supervision, testing, commissioning and project handover activities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical requirements for specialist wellness equipment.
• Practical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, electrical power distribution, lighting and control system integration.
• Knowledge of thermal facilities such as saunas, steam rooms, hammams and specialist wellness environments.
• Familiarity with steam generation systems, sauna heating systems, specialist lighting and equipment control systems.
• Ability to review MEP shop drawings, technical submittals and specialist equipment requirements.
