Microservices And API Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Microservices and API Developer to join our Dubai team. You will design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, while leveraging Azure cloud services and Kubernetes for deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Node.js, TypeScript and OpenAPI specifications.
• Deploy, manage and scale containerised applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Publish, secure and manage APIs with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Integrate backend services with internal and external systems using synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and Azure AD.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews and CI/CD automation (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
• Set up logging, monitoring and tracing with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps and architecture teams.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services (AKS, API Management, Key Vault) and Docker/Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of API security best practices and OWASP guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
