Middle Office Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a bright, ambitious Middle Office professional to join our client’s Asset Middle Office Operations team in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee the operations function, work directly with global market counterparties and drive automation, AI and process improvements across the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the operations team handling trade reconciliation, clearing, settlement and other middle‑office processes.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for prime brokers, custodians, clearing houses and other market counterparties, managing queries and escalations.
• Identify and drive automation, AI and technology‑based improvements, leveraging SQL, Python or VBA where appropriate.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in institutional financial markets middle/back‑office operations.
• Broad multi‑asset exposure, with fixed‑income and OTC experience preferred.
• Strong commercial awareness, proactive attitude and clear potential for progression.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• SQL knowledge.
• VBA or Python scripting (bonus).
• Automation and AI familiarity.
