MLRO / Financial Crime Manager

About the role

The MLRO / Financial Crime Manager is the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Compliance Officer for Edenred UAE, responsible for the end‑to‑end AML/CFT program and acting as the primary liaison with regulators and law enforcement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, own and continuously enhance the organization’s AML/CFT governance, policies, procedures and controls in line with UAE law and international standards.
• Detect, investigate and decide on filing of suspicious activity reports (SAR/STR) to the FIU, documenting rationale and follow‑up actions.
• Lead regular organization‑wide AML/CFT risk assessments and maintain sanctions, watchlist and PEP screening programmes.
• Act as the main point of contact for the CBUAE, FIU and law‑enforcement agencies, handling production orders and data requests.
• Oversee transaction monitoring and fraud prevention rule design, tuning and periodic review.
• Manage the FinCrime and Fraud team, ensuring independence in decision‑making.
• Report program effectiveness directly to the Board, CLCO and Senior Management, preparing semi‑annual and ad‑hoc reports.
• Develop and deliver AML/CFT training programmes for employees.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in AML/CFT compliance, preferably within the UAE financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of UAE AML/CFT regulations, CBUAE guidelines and international standards.
• Proven ability to lead risk assessments, investigations and regulatory liaison.
• Experience managing a team and delivering clear, regular compliance reporting to senior stakeholders.
