Mobile Engineer - React Native

About the role

Join a fully remote engineering team building innovative peer-to-peer mobile technology for secure, decentralized communication. You will develop and enhance a cross‑platform application for iOS and Android using React Native and Expo.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cross‑platform peer‑to‑peer mobile application, delivering reliable, responsive, and secure experiences on iOS and Android.
• Build, refine, and maintain features for messaging, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup.
• Integrate native capabilities such as push notifications, camera access, biometric authentication, and background tasks.
• Profile and optimise performance, focusing on startup time, chat sessions, media processing, battery consumption, and network usage.
• Write and maintain unit and end‑to‑end tests, support stable releases through CI workflows, crash reporting, and debugging.

Required profile

• Substantial professional experience with React Native and mobile application development.
• Strong JavaScript expertise (ES6+), Redux and Redux‑Saga for state and async management.
• Experience integrating WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and collaborate across distributed teams.
