Music Teacher - Noya British School

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Music Teacher for Noya British School, its newest flagship school on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, starting in August 2027. The school delivers a high-quality British curriculum with personalised learning in an inclusive, environmentally conscious community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging music lessons that meet curriculum requirements and cater to the whole ability range of the class
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, and create displays that support a positive learning environment
• Observe and assess students in line with school assessments, and use assessment data to inform planning, provision and intervention
• Record student progress in Target Tracker and give feedback to parents and carers at parent-teacher conferences
• Manage behaviour in line with the school policy, acting as a positive role model and maintaining good relationships with pupils
• Work with colleagues, curriculum support staff and professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when needed
• Take responsibility for the progress of a class and embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA in the curriculum
• Join a curriculum action group, take part in school events and run a weekly ECA each term

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with a PGCE or other teacher qualification
• At least 1-2 years of experience in Music
• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
• Clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance
