National Trainee – Operations

About the role

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is launching a National Training Program for UAE nationals interested in building a career in operations. The programme offers a permanent, full‑time position that combines classroom learning, workshop practice and on‑the‑job training across several operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in structured theoretical training covering smelting, power generation, desalination and maintenance processes.
• Assist senior engineers and technicians in daily operational tasks within the Al Taweelah and Jebel Ali sites.
• Complete hands‑on projects that apply learned concepts to real‑world production challenges.
• Rotate through different functional areas to gain a broad understanding of aluminium plant operations.

Required profile

• UAE national holding a High School Certificate, preferably in science or technical subjects.
• Age between 19 and 32 years.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Completed National Service, if applicable.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of technical concepts related to smelting, power, desalination or maintenance.
