OCC Duty Manager

About the role

The OCC Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple operational teams within the Integrated Operations Control Centre (IOCC) during the assigned shift. The role ensures smooth flight operations, monitors real‑time flight status, and implements contingency plans to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all Operational Control Centre tasks for flights in the daily schedule during the shift.
• Act as the focal point for resolving operational issues and conflicts within the IOCC.
• Manage flight schedules, including rerouting, rescheduling, or cancellation, balancing operational and commercial considerations.
• Communicate with IOCC management and other departments to address facility inadequacies and ensure safety.
• Lead and monitor emergency, incident, and accident responses, reporting promptly to management.
• Make operational decisions during abnormal situations such as weather disruptions, technical faults, medical emergencies, or security threats.
• Monitor incoming messages from relevant authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify potential disruptions, develop contingency plans, and protect the airline’s reputation.
• Oversee allocation of resources including aircraft, crew, and ground equipment.
