Officer, Fire Training

About the role

The Officer, Fire Training is responsible for delivering and overseeing fire‑fighting and emergency response training for ADNOC personnel across island facilities and offshore assets. The role ensures that all training meets ADNOC standards and that fire service teams are prepared for fire, hydrocarbon and toxic gas incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of the Island Fire Training Centre under the Lead Fire Training Officer.
• Ensure all training programmes comply with accepted standards and fire service policies.
• Assume incident commander duties during emergencies until relieved by a senior officer.
• Lead and supervise firefighters in fire‑fighting, oil/chemical spill response, gas release control, rescue and medical emergencies.
• Develop and deliver training aids and courses for UAE nationals, contractors and offshore personnel.
• Design scenario‑based exercises and simulated drills for auxiliary fire teams and marine vessels.
• Instruct on the operation and maintenance of fire‑fighting equipment such as CO₂/air compressors, bulk dry‑chemical filling machines and breathing‑apparatus test rigs.
• Conduct daily inspections of fire‑fighting equipment and training facilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in fire fighting, emergency response or fire training.
• Proven ability to supervise fire service personnel and manage incident command.
• Relevant certifications such as Fire Service Instructor and Watch Commander Level.
