Offshore Marine Specialist

About the role

The Offshore Marine Specialist will join KBR’s Abu Dhabi team to support a major ADNOC project. Working on a 6‑day on / 3‑day off offshore rotation, the role ensures safe and efficient marine operations for oil & gas, renewable energy and subsea activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise vessel movements, towing, anchor handling and cargo transportation for offshore installations.
• Support offshore construction, drilling, maintenance and installation activities, monitoring progress against project schedules.
• Review and approve marine procedures, method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code and local maritime regulations, conducting vessel audits and assurance reviews.
• Evaluate vessel suitability, liaise with masters, charterers and regulators, and monitor vessel performance and readiness.
• Act as the primary marine liaison between project teams, vessel operators and contractors, managing logistics for personnel, equipment and material transfers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore marine operations, preferably in oil & gas or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code).
• Ability to assess risk, develop method statements and conduct safety audits.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with vessel crews, contractors and regulatory bodies.
