Offshore Paramedic

About the role

The Offshore Paramedic provides emergency medical care on offshore installations, following Iraqi Ministry of Health guidelines and Jawar Al Khaleej SOPs. Working autonomously, you will assess, treat, and manage patients, ensuring safe transport when required.

Key responsibilities

• Execute paramedic duties in line with Iraqi Ministry of Health and Jawar Al Khaleej standards.
• Assess, treat, manage, or refer patients and arrange transport to appropriate care pathways.
• Utilise local care pathways to promote "see and treat" and reduce unnecessary Emergency Department admissions.
• Coordinate and supervise complex incident scenes until senior command arrives.
• Develop comprehensive emergency and urgent‑care strategies with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure medication management compliance, secure storage, and proper distribution per Ministry guidelines.
• Operate a range of vehicles, diagnostic, invasive, and therapeutic equipment as trained.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently as an autonomous practitioner.
• Strong coordination skills for managing incident scenes and multiple responders.
• Knowledge of local care pathways and emergency medical protocols.
• Commitment to medication safety and regulatory compliance.
