Onboarding Officer

About the role

The Onboarding Officer will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support throughout the recruitment and onboarding lifecycle for an Abu Dhabi government entity. This one‑year fixed‑term position ensures new joiners experience a smooth transition from candidate to employee while maintaining compliance with organisational policies and local regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all onboarding activities to guarantee a seamless experience for new hires.
• Maintain accurate and compliant recruitment and employee documentation.
• Process internal and government approvals in a timely manner.
• Reduce onboarding delays through proactive follow‑up and effective coordination.
• Facilitate communication between HR, hiring managers, government bodies and external partners.
• Support continuous improvement of the candidate and employee onboarding experience.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong administrative and operational support skills.
• Good understanding of recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Familiarity with government approval procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with HR teams, hiring managers, and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver a positive candidate and new joiner experience.
