OPD Nurse (Outpatient Department) - Dubai

About the role

A prestigious international hospital in Dubai is looking for experienced, patient-focused OPD nurses to join its outpatient care team. The role suits Western-trained nurses who want to deliver high-quality care in a modern, multicultural environment, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in outpatient clinics covering general medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, surgery and other specialties.
• Assist physicians during consultations, minor procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Perform vital signs assessment, document patient history and prepare patients before consultation.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
• Educate patients about treatment plans, medications and follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient flow, appointments and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and keep patient information confidential.
• Follow infection control standards, patient safety protocols and clinical quality guidelines.
• Provide culturally sensitive care and communicate clearly with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Valid nursing licence in the country of qualification or practice.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
• Preference for nurses trained and licensed in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.
• Willingness to relocate to and work in Dubai.

Required skills

• BLS certification required; ACLS is an asset.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and attention to detail.
