Operations Control Center (OCC) Controller

About the role

The Operations Control Center (OCC) Controller oversees the end‑to‑end coordination of ground handling and airport operations, ensuring accurate aircraft movement recording, load control, and resource allocation. Reporting to the Ground Handling Manager, the role leads a team of OCC Coordinators and ramp staff to meet airline service standards while prioritising safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily OCC activities, including aircraft stand, check‑in counter, gate, and baggage belt allocations.
• Ensure all aircraft movements and technical charge notes are recorded accurately for financial reconciliation.
• Monitor and update AMS and FIDS systems, coordinating upgrades as needed.
• Lead and coach OCC Coordinators, ramp staff, equipment operators, and cleaners, providing performance feedback to the Ground Handling Manager.
• Handle emergencies, activate relevant stakeholders, and ensure compliance with airport, airline, and regulator procedures.
• Conduct inspections, manage VIP/CIP movements, and oversee accident/incident reporting.
• Prepare and deliver shift briefings, and generate operational reports as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in airport or ground handling operations.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Required skills

• Experience with Airport Management System (AMS).
• Familiarity with Flight Information Display System (FIDS).
