Operations Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised Operations Coordinator to join a leading maritime team in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on planning and executing Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations, ensuring safety, compliance and efficient stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate STS operation schedules, including vessel nominations, Mooring Master assignments and support craft mobilisation.
• Prepare Joint Plans of Operation, risk assessments and pre‑transfer checklists for STS activities.
• Liaise with vessel owners, charterers, agents and port authorities to confirm compatibility and schedules.
• Coordinate operational communications and notifications with UAE authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor certification and inspection of key STS equipment such as fenders, hoses and mooring gear.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation and quality‑controlled reporting.
• Support post‑operation reporting, including incident and near‑miss records.
• Provide on‑call troubleshooting support on a rotational basis and contribute to continuous improvement in efficiency, safety and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or technical qualification in Maritime Studies, Nautical Sciences, Port Operations, Logistics or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in STS operations, port operations, tanker operations, offshore support or agency services.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple operations.
• Excellent English communication skills.
