Operations In-Charge (Engineering & Operations)

About the role

The Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone is looking for an experienced Operations In-Charge to oversee the day-to-day activities of its engineering, operations and facilities management functions. The role ensures smooth operations, efficient facility management and full compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of engineering, maintenance and facility activities.
• Oversee facilities management, including buildings, utilities and infrastructure.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with internal teams, service providers and contractors.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Handle vendor management, service contracts and cost control.
• Prepare operational reports and support planning and budgeting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations and facilities management.
• Good leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.
