Operations Planning Lead

About the role

The Operations Planning Lead will manage and optimise planning, scheduling and coordination of all operational activities for EDGE's HALCON division. The role ensures demand, production and material planning operate efficiently, supporting timely delivery of products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed operational plans aligned with contractual obligations and business requirements.
• Collaborate with Program, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics and Quality Assurance to integrate schedules and optimise resource utilisation.
• Oversee demand forecasting for materials, labour and production resources, ensuring capacity meets project timelines.
• Maintain accurate master data and ensure ERP systems (SAP APO/IBP) provide real‑time data for demand fulfilment.
• Identify operational risks, including supply‑chain disruptions, and implement contingency plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in operations production planning and scheduling across multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven track record of delivering results in a manufacturing or defence environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP APO/IBP and other MRP systems.
• Strong expertise in demand and operations planning.
