Order Taker – In-Room Dining

About the role

The Order Taker provides telephone support for in‑room dining guests, handling orders, answering menu and wine questions, and ensuring smooth service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Take room service orders over the phone and log them in the MICROS system.
• Answer guest inquiries about menu selections and wine details, coordinating with kitchen staff as needed.
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Notify guests and management of any service delays.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area throughout the shift.
• Process all payment methods and complete closing MICROS reports.
• Follow safety and security policies, report incidents, and complete required training.
• Uphold professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome guests, assist individuals with disabilities, and provide courteous service.
• Use clear, professional language when answering calls and interacting with guests.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
