Painter/Polisher for Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Painter/Polisher will be responsible for applying and maintaining finishes on walls, ceilings, furniture and other surfaces within the hotel. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paints, stains or varnishes, and ensuring a high-quality appearance that meets brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain and other finishes using brushes, spray guns or rollers, and prepare surfaces with primers or sealers.
• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire‑brushing, burning or abrasive blasting.
• Protect surfaces during work, post appropriate signage, and clean and store tools and equipment after use.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least one year of related painting or polishing experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders and working at heights.

Required skills

• Proficiency with brushes, spray guns and rollers.
• Experience in surface preparation techniques: sanding, stripping, wire‑brushing, abrasive blasting.
• Knowledge of primers, sealers, paints, stains and varnishes.
