Paralegal

About the role

The Paralegal will support IMI’s Legal Department by handling contract administration, legal research, document preparation and compliance tasks. Working within a global media group, you will ensure smooth legal operations while safeguarding confidentiality and adhering to relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, formatting and managing legal documents, agreements and correspondence.
• Support the contract lifecycle using legal AI tools, databases and the ARIBA procurement system, including tracking, filing and renewals.
• Conduct legal research and summarise findings on legislation, regulations and precedents.
• Prepare legal reports, presentations and briefing materials for internal stakeholders.
• Maintain corporate records, legal files and confidential documentation in an organised manner.
• Coordinate execution of legal documents and ensure proper record retention.
• Support corporate governance activities such as preparing meeting packs, resolutions and statutory records.
• Assist with litigation and dispute management by liaising with external counsel and coordinating documentation.
• Monitor contract expiry dates, legal obligations and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather information for legal reviews and approvals.

Required profile

• Understanding of contract law principles and legal documentation.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance and legal processes.
• Strong organisational skills with a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with contract management systems, preferably ARIBA.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
