Part-Time Accountant (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and proactive part‑time accountant to handle the accounting and financial compliance for several UAE‑based technology, software and professional services companies. The role is hands‑on, requiring independent management of bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and corporate tax submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable and perform bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash‑flow reports and financial summaries for directors.
• Submit quarterly VAT returns and corporate tax filings through the UAE Federal Tax Authority portal, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Process monthly payroll, manage WPS requirements, calculate employee benefits and handle expense reimbursements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisers, and keep organized records for each legal entity.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of hands‑on UAE accounting experience, including work with free‑zone companies.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, FTA procedures and IFRS standards.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet statutory deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Xero or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis.
