Pastry In Charge – Hotel Bakery Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Pastry In Charge to lead the pastry and bakery operations at Novotel Sharjah Expo Centre. Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, you will oversee the preparation of a wide range of desserts, cakes and baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage all pastry and bakery activities within the hotel.
• Prepare and execute pastries, cakes, chocolates, confections and other baked items following hotel recipes and standards.
• Train, supervise and schedule pastry staff, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Estimate consumption, requisition and purchase pastry supplies.
• Maintain equipment, ensure safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP regulations.
• Control waste, monitor costs and contribute to cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with front‑of‑house teams to guarantee timely availability of fresh products.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a pastry role within an international hotel chain.
• Strong leadership and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent quality.
• Certification in baking or culinary arts and/or hospitality education.
