Patient Administration Executive

About the role

The Patient Administration Executive is responsible for delivering front‑office services in a busy hospital environment, ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate registration, and timely billing.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, handle telephone inquiries and email communications.
• Manage appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, confirmations and handling no‑shows.
• Register new patients and keep existing patient records up‑to‑date.
• Provide insurance information, collect co‑payments, and process claim forms.
• Handle cash, credit‑card and cheque collections, and ensure accurate end‑of‑shift financial processing.
• Maintain knowledge of the Hospital Information System, clinic times, doctor rosters and booking procedures.
• Generate and process patient invoices, issue bills, and explain charges and payment options.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NMC regulations, infection‑control and patient‑safety standards.
• Address patient complaints professionally and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• College degree or diploma in any discipline.
• Ability to follow NMC regulations, infection‑control and patient‑safety policies.
• Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with patients, staff and management.
