About the role

The Patient Administrator will support the delivery of high‑quality patient care by handling appointment scheduling, registration, insurance processing and billing within Mediclinic Welcare Hospital.

Key responsibilities

Manage patient appointment scheduling and registration efficiently.
Handle medical insurance processes and related administrative tasks.
Oversee billing and cash‑up procedures accurately.
Maintain and improve customer service standards for patients.

Required profile

Completed secondary school education (Grade 12) – essential.
Tertiary Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in medical science, finance or accounting – desired.
2‑3 years of customer‑service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting – essential.
Experience in a contact centre or healthcare environment – desired.

Required skills

Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Experience with CRM software applications.
Familiarity with hospital information systems.
Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and processes.
Understanding of medical terminology and patient scheduling procedures.
