PAUT Operator (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is looking for a PAUT operator in Abu Dhabi. The role covers advanced non-destructive testing inspections, including phased array ultrasonic testing, and requires strict adherence to safety, housekeeping and procedural requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Take all precautions to protect the environment and ensure the safety of yourself and co-workers.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and follow instructions from site coordinators and crew leaders.
• Use and maintain safety devices and tools, and keep the work area clean.
• Perform advanced NDT jobs such as tube inspection, tank floor inspection and guided wave applications in line with approved procedures.
• List the required probes and accessories for each technique, interpret data without false calls and prepare final inspection reports.
• Carry out inspections according to project scope and site conditions, and troubleshoot problems in the equipment.

Required profile

• PCN PAUT Level 2 certification.
• Minimum 3 years of post-certification experience, overall 5+ years.
• Experience in phased array ultrasonic testing in oil and gas (piping, pipelines and equipment).
