Payments Specialist - Payment Investigations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Payments Specialist to handle local and foreign currency transactions and investigate payment issues. The role requires quick learning, excellent communication, and strong teamwork in a fast‑changing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process local and foreign currency transactions and conduct related investigations.
• Respond to queries from other banks and raise RFI’s with clients.
• Resolve transaction screening and monitoring alerts for payment transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their issues.
• Collaborate with product and technology teams to suggest process improvements.
• Work with internal teams to resolve customer issues.

Required profile

• Experience in local and international payments, including investigation and dispute management.
• Knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations for payments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex processes.
• Team player who can support others in a busy environment.
• Flexibility and openness to a constantly changing, startup‑like setting.
• Fluent spoken and written English; Arabic is a plus.
