PE Teacher

About the role

International Schools Partnership (ISP) is recruiting a full-time PE teacher in Dubai. The role covers teaching and learning, pastoral care of a tutor group, and contribution to school life, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Teach with excellent subject knowledge, stretching the most able learners at KS5 and preparing students for exam specifications
• Plan learning using contextual data, adapt practice to ensure progress, and give appropriate challenge to more able and talented learners
• Support learners with additional learning needs, English as an additional language and English Language Learners
• Use formative and summative assessments, mark work according to school policy, track attainment and progress, and report regularly to parents
• Create a warm, caring, academically driven classroom and a positive physical learning environment
• Be responsible for the emotional and social development of a tutor group, monitoring attendance, punctuality and behaviour
• Deliver PERMA lessons and Moral, Social and Cultural lessons during tutor time, attend assemblies, and work with the Head of Year
• Safeguard the welfare of children, contribute to faculty resources, enrich activities, run an extracurricular club for at least two terms, cover for absent colleagues and follow a break/lunch rota

Required profile

• Good honours degree
• QTS or PGCE, preferably from the UK, and at least two years' teaching experience
• Experience teaching UK curricula
• ICPC and UK enhanced DBS (or equivalent) police check
• Professional appearance and conduct, and willingness to take part in school improvement and professional development
