Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon – Shape the Future of Heart Surgery

About the role

We are looking for a board‑certified Consultant Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon to join a leading healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering advanced surgical care to infants, children and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart diseases while contributing to research, education and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex paediatric cardiac surgeries, including congenital defect repairs, valve procedures, arterial switch operations and Tetralogy of Fallot corrections.
• Provide comprehensive pre‑operative, intra‑operative and post‑operative care, including management of patients in the Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anaesthesiologists, perfusionists, intensivists, radiologists and nursing teams to optimise outcomes.
• Participate in emergency surgery services, on‑call rotations and outpatient follow‑up clinics.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to infection‑control, patient‑safety and ethical standards.
• Engage in multidisciplinary meetings, morbidity‑mortality conferences and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to clinical research, publications and continuing medical education.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior surgeons, residents and allied health professionals.

Required profile

• Board‑certified paediatric cardiac surgeon.
• Minimum of 60 months (5 years) of relevant surgical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage critically ill patients.
• Commitment to research, education and continuous professional development.
