Pediatric Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse (Philippines Base)

About the role

A reputable healthcare organization in Dubai is looking for a Pediatric Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse, based in the Philippines. The nurse provides high-quality care to infants, children and adolescents admitted for medical treatment or recovering from surgery, delivering safe, patient-centered care in a hospital ward.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the medical and surgical ward
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, symptoms and condition, reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications, IV fluids and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care of pediatric patients
• Support children with daily activities, comfort measures and recovery needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical progress
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, patient safety standards and hospital policies
• Educate and support patients and families about treatment and recovery
• Maintain a safe, clean and child-friendly care environment

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a pediatric medical and surgical ward in a hospital
• Valid nursing license from home country
• Eligibility for a nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, license or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in accredited or tertiary care hospitals is an advantage

• Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing care and clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
