Pediatric Mental Health Nurse

About the role

A client of Black Pearl Consult is looking for a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse to join its team in Dubai. The nurse provides comprehensive care to patients with mental health disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough mental health assessments and help develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for efficacy and adverse reactions.
• Provide therapeutic support and counseling to patients and their families.
• Conduct group therapy sessions and educational workshops.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with regulatory requirements.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and emergency protocols as needed.
• Take part in ongoing training and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Experience handling pediatric patients in mental health or psychiatry.
• Valid nursing license in the UAE or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Cultural sensitivity and experience with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
