Pediatric Occupational Therapist

About the role

Perfect Balance Rehabilitation Center L.L.C., a rehabilitation centre in Abu Dhabi offering services such as sports injury rehabilitation, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and school-based occupational therapy, is hiring a full-time, on-site Pediatric Occupational Therapist. The therapist assesses and treats children with developmental, sensory and functional needs, supporting their participation in daily activities at home, school and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
• Provide one-on-one and small group therapy sessions
• Document progress in line with clinical and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and early intervention
• Educate and guide families and schools, and take part in multidisciplinary case discussions
• Take part in ongoing professional development

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in pediatric rehabilitation or related settings
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution, with current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the UAE
• Previous experience in school-based therapy, developmental clinics or similar pediatric environments is highly beneficial

• Sensory integration approaches to evaluate and treat sensory processing challenges
• Early intervention and working with children, including partnering with families and schools
• Assessment, clinical reasoning and evidence-based treatment planning
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, families and educators in a culturally diverse environment
• Accurate clinical documentation and responsible caseload management
