Pediatric Radiologist Consultant

About the role

The Consultant Pediatric Radiologist provides expert, evidence‑based imaging services for children in a tertiary hospital in Abu Dhabi. This senior position leads clinical care, mentors junior staff, and contributes to quality improvement across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging, interpret studies, and develop treatment plans for paediatric patients.
• Conduct patient examinations, obtain histories, and order appropriate radiologic investigations.
• Supervise and train junior doctors, residents, and allied staff in paediatric radiology practices.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Provide on‑call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
• Document clinical findings accurately and comply with hospital, DOH and SEHA policies.
• Engage in clinical audits, peer review and risk management initiatives.
• Communicate findings and treatment options compassionately to patients and families.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent with a recognised specialty training programme (Board certification, Royal College fellowship or DOH‑approved qualification).
• Fellowship or extensive experience in Pediatric Radiology.
• 3‑7 years of post‑specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Eligibility to practice in the UAE as per DOH regulations.
