About the role
The Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program Coordinator for the Burns service will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the burn program and its associated safety initiatives at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. Working closely with the Operations Manager (Burns) and the Chair of Burns, the coordinator will ensure that patient‑centered care is continuously improved and aligned with the hospital’s quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and evaluate the Burns program and PIPS framework.
- Monitor performance metrics and patient safety indicators specific to burn care.
- Lead quality improvement projects and drive evidence‑based practice changes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate safety protocols across the care pathway.
- Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership, including the Operations Manager and Chair of Burns.
- Ensure compliance with local and international patient safety standards.
