Performance Testing Engineer (DevOps)

About the role

We are seeking a highly technical Performance Testing Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset to embed performance testing into our continuous delivery pipelines. You will collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to ensure our applications deliver fast, reliable experiences at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate performance and load testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD) to detect bottlenecks early.
• Develop clean, reusable automated test scripts using tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling or Locust.
• Work with DevOps to provision test environments as code, maintain Grafana dashboards and configure APM tools for deep monitoring.
• Execute load, stress, endurance and spike tests and analyse metrics to identify CPU, memory, database or network constraints.
• Partner with software engineers to refactor code, optimise database queries and tune Kubernetes, Oracle, API or UI components to meet SLA/SLO targets.
• Create automated strategies for generating, masking and managing large volumes of realistic test data.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on performance testing and engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python or Go for building test scripts from scratch.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven ability to analyse complex system architectures and translate metrics into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills to advocate performance best practices across cross‑functional teams.
