Physics Lab Assistant

About the role

LEAMS Education is seeking a qualified Physics Lab Assistant to ensure the safe and efficient operation of its school physics laboratory. You will prepare materials, support teachers and students during practical sessions, and maintain a well‑organized learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange laboratory equipment, apparatus, and specimens for physics lessons and experiments.
• Assist teachers in setting up and conducting practical demonstrations.
• Support students during lab sessions, ensuring correct and safe equipment use.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and report any defects.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate timely replenishment of consumables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab before and after sessions.
• Collaborate with physics teachers, the science department, and school management.
• Perform any additional laboratory duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
• Prior experience as a Physics Lab Assistant, Laboratory Technician, or similar role, preferably in a school setting.
• Good knowledge of physics laboratory equipment, experiments, and safety procedures.
• Understanding of storage, emergency protocols, and equipment handling.
