Physics Teacher – Yasmina British Academy (Jan 27 Start)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Physics Teacher for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting January 2027. The role involves delivering the English National Curriculum and contributing to the school’s high standards of achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement department policies and practices aligned with the school’s vision.
• Monitor and evaluate short, medium and long‑term departmental plans.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create support plans.
• Analyse school data to inform policies and SEF writing.
• Ensure schemes of work are regularly reviewed for all year groups, including SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL provisions.
• Maintain curriculum coverage, continuity and progression for all students.
• Set standards for staff achievement, teaching quality and behaviour.
• Evaluate teaching and learning quality and implement improvements.
• Contribute to the school’s CAS programme and after‑school revision sessions.
• Performance manage the team and efficiently deploy staff and resources.
• Control department budgets and create a stimulating learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum six years of teaching experience, preferably with the UK curriculum.
• Proven track record of raising standards and implementing effective learning strategies.
• Leadership experience at various levels and ability to work collaboratively.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
