Pipeline Designer – Onshore & Offshore Projects

About the role

The Pipeline Designer is responsible for preparing and developing detailed pipeline designs, drawings, and layouts for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. This role works closely with engineers, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prepare pipeline design drawings, plans, and schematics using CAD/3D software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or PDMS.
• Assist in route selection, alignment sheets, and material take‑offs.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and codes (ASME, API, ISO) and project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to resolve design‑related issues.
• Update and maintain pipeline drawings and documents throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review vendor drawings, perform clash checks, and incorporate feedback.
• Participate in design review meetings, HAZOP/HAZID, and constructability reviews.
• Support the preparation of as‑built drawings and project documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD/3D software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDMS).
• Knowledge of engineering standards and codes such as ASME, API, and ISO.
