Pipeline Integrity Engineer

About the role

KBR is looking for a Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join its PMC team on a project based in Abu Dhabi, in a client-proposed office. The engineer plans and implements pipeline integrity activities such as integrity pigging surveys, advises on the integrity status of pipelines, and keeps the ADNOC Offshore Pipeline Integrity Strategy current.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement pipeline integrity activities, including integrity pigging surveys, and follow up on intelligent pigging survey outcomes so that all required data is acquired and saved.
• Issue an Integrity Status Summary Report and advise asset owners on line integrity status, recommending actions and next inspection dates.
• Support the development of PIMS-related systems, the Pipeline Integrity Strategy, procedures and guidelines.
• Produce and execute the Intelligent Pigging (IP) in-line inspection master plan, and coordinate with the inspection engineer on the underwater mater inspection plan.
• Validate inspection findings, review and assess IP results, and provide technical advice to management and business units.
• Support the manager and team leader in the department business plan, the TCM's Facilities Integrity Workshop and performance reviews.
• Identify and develop a long-term pipeline replacement plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Pipeline Integrity Engineer.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Preferred: membership of a certified or professional inspection or pipelines body.
