Planning & Cost Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning & Cost Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi office. The role involves managing project schedules, monitoring progress, and controlling costs for residential and commercial construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules, identify delays, critical activities and risks.
• Prepare progress updates, look‑ahead schedules, dashboards and management reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors and teams to ensure accurate schedule updates.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flows and cost reports.
• Perform cost variance analysis and flag potential overruns.
• Track commitments, actual costs and forecast financial performance.
• Review contractor and supplier quotations and support commercial and procurement evaluations.
• Assist with change control, risk assessment and corrective action planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in planning and cost control within construction.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera and good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience with digital ERP systems.
• Understanding of construction processes, contracts, procurement and project lifecycle.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
