Planning Engineer - Aluminium & Façade Projects

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Planning Engineer in Dubai for the construction sector, focusing on aluminium and glass/façade projects. The role covers project scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting and coordination with project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, defining milestones, critical paths and key deliverables
• Coordinate with project teams to gather inputs for planning and scheduling
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks and suggest corrective actions
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients, tracking actual versus planned timelines, manpower and resources
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement and site teams for accurate planning data
• Assist in preparing work breakdown structures, manpower histograms and resource allocation plans
• Ensure proper documentation of schedules, updates and baselines
• Support the commercial team on budget and cost alignment, and monitor material usage, subcontractor progress and procurement lead times

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of planning experience in the aluminium and glass/façade or construction industry
• Familiarity with site operations, procurement processes and project execution practices
• Good understanding of UAE construction standards and timelines

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Excel
• Strong knowledge of aluminium and glass systems, façade elements and construction workflows
• Analytical, organisational and communication skills
