Planning Engineer (Infrastructure) – Arabic Speaker

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer (Infrastructure) who is fluent in Arabic to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role focuses on delivering robust schedules, monitoring progress and supporting time‑related assessments for large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate contractor baseline and updated programmes against contract conditions and Parsons standards.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across multiple packages and interfaces.
• Analyse progress updates, identify delays or slippage, and recommend mitigation and recovery actions.
• Perform “what‑if” and schedule impact analyses for variations and potential events.
• Prepare regular progress reports, monthly programme analyses and presentations for key milestones.
• Support claims and extension‑of‑time assessments using time‑impact and window analysis methods.
• Lead planning and progress meetings, record minutes and maintain tracking logs.
• Agree on progress measurement systems and KPIs with contractors and consultants, and issue delay notices when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 8 years of planning/scheduling experience on infrastructure projects such as storm‑water, roads, sewerage and utilities.
• Valid DMT practicing engineer licence and UAE equivalency certificate.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
