Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed project schedules for construction projects in Sharjah. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules and work programs using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor project progress and regularly update schedules.
• Prepare baseline schedules, recovery plans, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to track milestones.
• Analyze project delays and recommend corrective actions and mitigation plans.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Track project resources, productivity, and performance indicators.
• Assist in tender planning, resource planning, and manpower forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with MOHESR equivalency.
• Engineer’s license from Abu Dhabi Municipality.
• 5‑7 years of planning and scheduling experience in the UAE.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
