Planning Engineer – Project Scheduling (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Planning Engineer to join the project and construction management team for an in‑fill development in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will support schedule integration, cost control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate schedule requirements and constraints to establish work sequences for all disciplines.
• Prepare schedule commentary for progress reports and identify critical‑path activities for project milestones.
• Review and approve invoice verification based on cost‑loaded schedules.
• Monitor schedule deviations, including subcontractor submittals, and recommend corrective actions.
• Interface with project teams to acquire and review schedule data needed to complete work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Certification in planning and scheduling of projects.
• Prior experience in a similar role within an engineering or project‑management consultancy.
• Extensive knowledge of project planning, budgeting, cost phasing and control from initiation to close‑out.
