Plant Operator – Hotel Facilities & Pool Maintenance

About the role

The Plant Operator ensures the smooth operation and maintenance of all plant facilities at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. You will safeguard guest comfort and energy efficiency by overseeing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel plant rooms, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and swimming‑pool equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms and pool systems, promptly addressing any issues.
• Handle, store, and apply chemicals for pool water treatment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, pumps, and filtration systems.
• Monitor pool water quality (pH, chlorine) and ensure health‑safety compliance.
• Respond to maintenance calls for plant rooms, pool systems, or other facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, chemical usage, and inventory.
• Track and improve energy usage, recommending cost‑saving initiatives.
• Source and procure parts, chemicals, and supplies needed for plant operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or large‑facility plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool equipment.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow strict safety protocols.
• Detail‑oriented with good record‑keeping and reporting skills.
• Proactive attitude toward energy efficiency and continuous improvement.
