Plumber – Resort Engineering Team

About the role

Anantara Desert Islands Resort & Spa is seeking a skilled Plumber/Technician to join its Engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing the resort’s plumbing and water systems to ensure guest comfort, safety and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of water supply, drainage, sewage and sanitary systems.
• Respond to plumbing requests and emergencies in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens and back‑of‑house areas.
• Repair or replace pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, pumps, water heaters and other fixtures.
• Identify and rectify leaks, blockages, low pressure and other plumbing issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts replacement.
• Support energy and water‑conservation initiatives and suggest cost‑saving measures.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a hotel, resort or commercial facility.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and respond to emergencies.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays and to live on a remote resort.

Required skills

• Plumbing installation, repair and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of water supply, drainage, sewage and sanitary systems.
• Leak detection, blockage clearance and pressure troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental regulations.
