PMC Senior Construction Superintendent - Mechanical

About the role

Wood is seeking a senior construction superintendent to lead mechanical works on large‑scale oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role sits within Wood’s Oil, Gas & New Energies business and requires hands‑on leadership of complex construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance control for mechanical construction activities.
• Conduct constructability reviews to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Oversee pre‑commissioning activities and ensure readiness for hand‑over.
• Supervise on‑site construction teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Manage change requests, assess impact and implement approved modifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in construction supervision, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale mechanical projects on time and within budget.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Abu Dhabi and adapt to project schedules.
