PMC Site Quality Manager

About the role

Wood is recruiting a PMC Site Quality Manager to be based in Ruwais, full time at site due to the nature of the projects and client expectations. The role covers quality management for projects in the energy sector, working with the Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) and EPC contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the project quality management policy, objectives and quality plan with the IPMT, and manage the QA/QC organization, resource plan and department budget
• Prepare and run the audit and monitoring programme, and implement QA/QC specifications as part of suppliers' and contractors' scope of work
• Set up an improvement dashboard, establish QA/QC KPIs and report regularly to stakeholders
• Support the lessons learned process, and give feedback to the IPMT and key stakeholders
• Take part in EOI, ITT and tender evaluation, validate and approve contractor QMS, vendor and EPC QA/QC plans and inspection and test plans
• Manage the quality load for shop surveillance and site-based QA/QC, and interface with outsourced quality providers such as TPI and accreditation bodies
• Participate in purchase order close-outs, vendor and contractor performance assessments, and project performance reviews
• Lead investigations into QA/QC concerns and communicate findings

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree in management or equivalent
• 20+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector, including PMC or EPC Quality Manager experience on large projects
• Good written and verbal communication skills
