About the role
The role contributes to building and maintaining the DFSA’s policy framework, covering areas such as capital markets, funds, technology, digital assets, banking, insurance and AML/CTF. It involves research, benchmarking, risk analysis and stakeholder communication.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the DFSA’s regulatory policy framework across thematic areas including capital markets, funds, technology, digital assets, banking, insurance and AML/CTF.
- Prepare policy papers, consultation documents and present policy positions to internal and external audiences.
- Analyse public consultation responses and draft appropriate replies.
- Engage with market participants, peer regulators, international standard‑setting bodies and industry associations to shape policy.
- Assess the need for policy or strategic changes, evaluate options and recommend actions.
- Plan and manage internal and external outreach, communication and stakeholder engagement activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, law, international relations or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in financial regulation or a relevant industry setting.
- Understanding of public authorities, international relations and regulatory risk concepts.
- Proven ability to analyse complex issues, think strategically and communicate clearly in English.
